Backend Engineer
Design and run the APIs, data models and integrations behind the products we deliver.
You own services end to end: schema, endpoints, deploys, and the pager when something misbehaves. Nobody hands your work to a separate ops team.
Expect integration work — payments, messaging, third-party systems that are documented optimistically.
What you will do
Build and maintain REST APIs and background jobs
Model data for correctness first, then for speed
Own deployments and production behaviour of your services
What we look for
Solid experience in Python, Node.js or a comparable backend stack
Practical SQL and schema design ability
Familiarity with Linux deployment, CI and observability basics
Nice to have
FastAPI or Django experience
Having debugged a production incident and written up what happened
